Horses Birthday and Awards Party

New Year's Day with Bridges Equestrian

January 1 we will also be closed for lessons as we run our annual Bridges Equestrian Pony Party, for a big birthday celebration for all the horses. We will also have our annual Bridges Equestrian Awards Banquet and potluck. We hope not to rain-date this again! Last year was a mess, huh? Everyone is invited. Meg will be organizing this, so look for more from her.

The Bridges Equestrian Awards Banquet is held each year for honors of the preceding year. The team votes on such awards as the the Misty , for the favorite lesson horse, and Rider of the Year, for the rider they feel contributed most to the Bridges Equestrian program.

The Bridges Equestrian staff of trainers and instructors award such honors as the Tonka, for our horse's best friend, and the highest honor, the Horsemaster award.

Other honors are bestowed such as the dreaded PMS award, for the student that exhibits the worst mood swings, and the Frequent Flyer Award, for the student that logs the most air time.

The Bridges Equestrian Awards banquet is a fun evening where we get to thank important people, recognize tremendous effort and make some fun. It is an anxiously awaited and greatly attended function. All students, family and friends of the Bridges Equestrian Equestrian Team are invited, although you must have been a student as of Nov. 1 to be eligible for awards.
