5–Day Camps

  • Full Riding Lesson on your OWN horse! You get a horse all to yourself for the full 45 Minutes! No waiting around for your turn on the horse like "other" camps!
  • Horsemanship from the ground lessons
  • Horse care and safety clinics
  • Parts of the horse, saddle, bridle
  • Tours on the ever-popular BRIDGES "Chariot of the Goddess" (Golf Cart)
  • Road Trip through the three adjoining stables via golf cart up to the tack shop to get ice cream (weather permitting)
  • Tack Cleaning
  • Lunging and training clinics
  • Horse Painting
  • Crafts
  • Stable care (yes, they get to muck out stalls)
  • Feeds and feeding (and lots of other stable chores)
  • Eco–Nature walk to Trabuco Creek (on the stable property, a short walk) by Eco–Enthusiast Ruthanna Bridges (Riding School Director), or Geologist Alison Carpenter (our very own Camp Director!)
  • Jumping and Dressage Demonstrations
  • Lots of "Horsin around" and other cool Horsey stuff!
  • 8:00am - 12:00 noon
  • $350 for the week

  • Full Riding Lesson (you get a horse all to yourself for the full 45 minutes!  No Waiting around for your turn on the horse like "other" camps!)

  • A Fun-Filled-Action-Packed Day Horsin' Around with the Bridges Equestrian Herd!
  • Intermediate Riders get lessons in lungeing, show preparation and jumps & strides
  • 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $130 per day

 

Everyone has their own BRIDGES horse! Feed him, groom him, then ride a full riding lesson! No standing around watching others ride waiting for your turn (like other camps.) After your ride, you wash him off, put him home, and have tons more fun just "Horsing around" with the Bridges Equestrian Team learning about horse care, doing stable chores, games and crafts! Whew! All that in 4 hours? This camp never sits down! Well, except on the horse!

5–Day Camps

  • 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • Monday – Friday
  • Kids ages 8–13
  • Cost: $350 per week

 

1–Day Camps

  • 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Kids ages 8–13
  • Cost: $130 per day

5–Day Camps

  • 8:00–8:30 Grooming and Tacking horses
  • 8:30–9:15 and 9:30-10:15 Riding Lessons.  Off group has “on–the–ground” lesson
  • 10:15–10:45 Put horses away/snack
  • 10:45–11:45 Crafts, games or clinics (examples include: bathing, lunging, veterinary, farrier, tack cleaning, clipping)
  • 11:45–12:00 Barn chores (includes graining, checking stalls & waterers – everything we do on a daily basis)

The order of these events can change a little in order to accommodate our “guest” speakers/clinicians.

 

1–Day Camps

  • 9:00–9:30 Grooming and Tacking horses
  • 9:30–10:15 and 10:30-11:15 Riding Lessons.  Off group has “on–the–ground” lesson & Snack
  • 11:15–11:45 Put horses away
  • 11:45–12:30 Pizza Lunch and Horse Fun, Discussions, & Stable Tour in the Golf-Cart
  • 12:30–1:30 Games or Clinics (examples include: bathing, tack cleaning, clipping)
  • 1:30-2:00 Barn Chores (includes graining, checking stalls & waterers — everything we do on a daily basis)

The order of these events can change a little in order to accommodate our “guest” speakers/clinicians.

5–Day Camps

  • Riders may "move" to another available camp date any time prior to their camp at no cost.
  • Cancellations made up to 60 days prior to camp start date: 90% refund
  • Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to camp start date: 50% refund
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of camp start date: No Refund; however we will issue "Missed Day" credits.

 

1–Day Camps

  • Receive 2 Gift Certificates for BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN riding lessons for each day missed.
  • Summer Camps:  receive 1 Gift Certificate for a BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN riding lesson for each day missed
  • Spring/Winter Camps:  receive 2 Gift Certificates for BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN riding lessons for each day missed.

Horse Camp

Bridges Camps operate with a minimum of 3 trained (college graduate!) instructors and 6 assistants, so we can tailor the lessons and clinics to any level of horsemanship!
